You need to rely on dedicated IPTV services to import playlists into the app.Īll you need is valid login credentials from your IPTV provider to integrate with the SO Player on FireStick. When you install an IPTV player, you don’t get any content with it. Many users confuse an IPTV player with an IPTV service/provider. Besides, you can always connect more IPTV services to it. Third-party IPTV players such as Flix, TiviMate, and SO offer more features and they are compatible with all the major OS out there. If your preferred IPTV service offers an IPTV player, you should still go with a dedicated IPTV player such as SO player. Instead, they solely focus on improving streaming quality and content offering. Most IPTV services don’t offer an IPTV player with the app. Among the IPTV players, SO Player should be top on your list. However, you do need an IPTV player to stream the content on FireStick. As of writing there are 34 different services in total and development is active so new ones are added regularly. It covers a wide range of services, among them Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, WeChat, Skype, HipChat, Google Hangouts, GroupMe, Steam Chat, and more. It feels polished, fast and is presented in a clean, no-frills interface. But Franz is still my favorite of the bunch. I'll tell you right away all three options we're covering today work similarly as they are essentially wrappers for the web versions of all the supported messaging apps. The concept isn't new - remember Trillian, anyone? - but updated for today's mobile messaging world. If this sounds familiar, there are a handful of all in one messaging clients that can save you the trouble by keeping all your chats under one roof, and best of all they are cross-platform. However that doesn't make switching between different app windows and browser tabs throughout the day any less annoying. While most of these clients are mobile-first nowadays, thankfully for my sake all offer some form of desktop counterpart - either a full blown native client or a web based one - so I can reply faster and more comfortably using an actual keyboard. In any given day I get hundreds of notifications from HipChat, WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, and my business' Facebook Page. ![]() Instant messaging is an increasingly competitive market and despite your best efforts to keep it simple and use a single app or platform, it's hard to avoid keeping two or three apps around to keep in touch with different groups of people. ![]() I can’t do that in OmniFocus, although I could create Perspectives that shape a similar workflow. Here are some of the categories I use when creating labels: LocationĪs you can see in the image above, “Share Mikes on Mics” is a task that requires Low Energy and the location that I can complete the task in is “Social” (as in “social networks”). I have used energy levels as modes for a long time (ever since Sven Fechner delivered a talk that drove home how useful they are when used as GTD contexts), and with Todoist I can now attach more conventional modes/labels to a task alongside energy levels. Modes are what add real value to my tasks, and the labelling feature in Todoist really lets me add a ton of value to each and every task I add to the app. Other apps (Asana, for example) use the term “tags” rather than labels or modes, but I treat them essentially in the same manner. I treat Todoist’s labels as modes, as per my productivity approach The NOW Year Formula. But perhaps the thing that I’ve found most appealing is the ability to use multiple labels for a task. Todoist has been my task manager of choice for a few months now, and while I still find that I’m missing some features that would make it even better (URL schemes, Start Dates, etc.), I still find that it has a lot to offer that many task managers out there don’t ( which I outlined in an earlier post). The only person who can read the encrypted emails is the recipient, who has authentication. That means even the email provider itself has no access to your emails. The most secure email providers use end-to-end encryption to protect your email. How Do Secure Email Providers Protect Your Email? ![]() Some email providers don’t encrypt emails on the server at all. However, if the recipient doesn’t use TLS, the email will be unencrypted and easy to intercept.Īnd even if the email is protected in transit, it may not be safe once it reaches the recipient’s email server. If the recipient’s email provider also uses TLS, the email will continue to be protected in transit as most major email services do. So now your email is leaving Google’s server and traveling to its destination. It’s also easy for Gmail or other providers to give third parties access to your emails. But Google still scans the content of your emails to provide features like Smart Reply. It no longer reads your emails to serve you ads, as it did before 2017. Once they reach the server, Google encrypts the data at a network level. Emails sent from Gmail (and many other major providers) use Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption to encrypt messages in transit between your computer and the server. ![]() It’s not that Gmail has no security features. To understand why secure email is essential, let’s look at what happens when you send emails from a standard provider like Gmail. ![]() You’ll either face a never ending loading screen or an error message that says you must connect to a stable internet connection, even when you already have.
